Generally, notifications alert you with some messages, such as the external driver status. Such notifications usually appear at the bottom of the screen with a notification sound. Restarting Windows Explorer:

Sometimes, Windows Explorer may have issues with system file sorting and generating notifications as the system gets confused between the timelines. Just restart the Windows Explorer to fix the problem.

  • Step 1:Click the Start menu and choose All Apps from the menu.
  • Step 2:Select Windows System folder --> Task Manager.
  • Step 3:Click Processes and go to the Windows Processes section in the Task Manager.
  • Step 4:Now, find Windows Explorer and right-click on it. Select Restart in the pop-up.

Apps Run In Background:

Here, we turn on the background apps option under Settings to help you see the notifications.

  • Step 1:Click the Start icon to go to the Windows start menu.

  • Step 3:Select the Privacy option.
  • Step 4:Now, a new window appears. Find the App permissions section and click on the Background apps option.
  • Step 5:Under the Background apps section, enable the Let apps run in the background option.

  • Step 4:Under Notification & actions, enable Get notifications from apps and other senders.
  • Step 5:Scroll down to find the Get notifications from these apps section. Here, you can enable permission for any apps to let them show notifications.
