- Step 1:First, check the Internet Explorer’s Proxy Settings.
- Step 2:To do it, launch the Internet Properties application on your Windows system.
- Step 3:Locate and click the Connections tab.
- Step 4:Click the LAN Settings button.
- Step 5:Locate the Proxy Server section.
- Step 6:Check if the Use a proxy server for your LAN option is enabled.
- Step 7:Now, note down the value displayed in the Address field.
- Step 8:After that, disable the Use a proxy server for your LAN option by unticking the checkbox beside it.
- Step 9:Click OK --> Apply --> OK.
- Step 10:Now, try to launch the Trend Micro software on your system.
- Step 11:If it launches successfully, then the issue is resolved.
- Step 12:If not, change the DNS server address to resolve this issue.
- Step 13:To change the DNS server address, open the Network Connection Window application.
- Step 14:Locate and right-click on the Local Area Connection option.
- Step 15:Choose the Properties option.
- Step 16:Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) --> Properties.
- Step 17:Make sure that the values in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields are 85.255.xxx.xxx.
- Step 18:If yes, enable the Obtain DNS server address automatically option and click the OK button.
- Step 19:Exit from the Network Connection window.
- Step 20:Now, launch the Trend Micro software on your system.
- Step 21:If the issue persists, then uninstall or remove the third-party security software that causing the issue.
