  • Step 1:To begin with, close all the running programs on your Windows computer.
  • Step 2:Launch the browser app and navigate to the Sophos Central login page.
  • Step 3:Log in to your Central account using the correct credentials.
  • Step 4:Click the Devices tab and select the device on which you want to disable the protection.
  • Click The Devices Tab
  • Step 5:Scroll down the page to the Tamper Protection section.
  • Step 6:Click on Disable Tamper Protection. This is necessary to disable your Sophos protection clutter-free.
  • Click On Disable Tamper Protection
  • Step 7:Once your device is out of Tamper Protection, the Admin login disappears.
  • Step 8:Now, you can proceed to disable Sophos Endpoint Protection.
  • Step 9:Just click the Start menu and type 'command prompt' in the search field.
  • Step 10:Right-click the Command Prompt tab from the search results and select the Run as administrator option.

  • Step 11:Type in the wmic service where "caption like '% Sophos%'" call stopservice command and hit the Enter key.
  • Step 12:Close Command Prompt and check if the protection is disabled.

Note: To re-enable the Sophos Endpoint Protection, change stopservice in the command to startservice.
