  • Step 4:Untick the checkbox available near the Turn On Fast Startup feature available under the Shutdown Settings menu.

  • Step 6:Uninstall Norton Internet Security and install it again to check if the issue is being resolved. 

How to Turn Off Norton Internet Security Firewall?

  • Step 1:Follow the instructions specified here to turn off the Firewall Norton Security. 
  • Step 2:Open the Norton interface on your system an select the Settings option. 
  • Step 3:Choose the Firewall option and then go to the General Settings tab present in the Smart Firewall row. 
  • Step 4:Use the slider to turn off the firewall and click the Apply button. 
  • Step 5:Select the duration for which you wish to disable the firewall and tap OK.
  • Step 6:If you wish to turn off the Smart Firewall from the notification area, then you have to right-click on the Norton icon and select the Disable Smart Firewall option.

How to Allow Programs in Norton Internet Security through Firewall?

  • Step 2:If so, remove it by typing appwiz.cpl in the Run dialog box. When the list of programs is displayed, select the program or app and click the Uninstall or the Remove button. 
  • Step 3:In case if this does not resolve the issue, then change the trust level of the network computer. 
  • Step 4:To do so, select the Firewall option from the Setting menu. Access the General Settings tab and choose the Network Settings option. 
  • Step 5:Tap the Configure option available next to the Network Trust option. 
  • Step 6:Now, you have to choose the network computer for which you wish to change the trust level. 
  • Step 7:Select the Full Trust option from the Trust Level drop-down list. 
  • Step 8:Tap the Apply button and then click OK. Check if you are able to access the Internet. 
  • Step 9:Navigate to Firewall Settings and then access the Program Control tab. 
  • Step 10:From the Program list, you have to select the .exe file of the application that is not able to access the Internet. 
  • Step 11:Use the Add option to add the executable file to the list. Choose the Manual configure option from the drop-down menu and then select the Allow option from the Add Rule window. 
  • Step 12:Choose the Connection to and from Other Computers option and tap Next. 
  • Step 13:Now, you have to select the Any Computer option and use the All Types of Communication (all ports, local, and remote) to apply the rule for all the ports. 
  • Step 14:Tap Next after selecting the Create a Security History Log Entry option. 
  • Step 15:Specify a description for this rule and click the Finish button. 
  • Step 16:Select the Apply option in the Firewall windows and tap Close.

Norton Internet Security Firewall Exceptions

  • Step 1:The Automatic Program Control feature will analyze the program and allow access to it. 
  • Step 2:You can disable the feature to allow access to programs of your choice. 
  • Step 3:Access the Norton Settings and select the Firewall option. 
  • Step 4:When the Firewall Settings window opens, you have to choose the Advanced Program Control option. 
  • Step 5:Go to the Automatic Program Control option and use the slide bar to disable it. 
  • Step 6:You can also add exceptions to the Firewall Norton Security. Select an application and provide access to it by navigating to the Program tab.
