- Step 1:On Windows, open the Command Prompt(CMD) window and run it as administrator.
- Step 2:Type the 'chkdsk /r /f' command to clean the malware entries on your drive.
- Step 3:You can also type 'sfc/scannow' in the Command Prompt window.
- Step 4:Now, restart your computer to scan for errors.
- Step 5:If the problem persists, navigate to the Temp folder and set the correct permissions.
- Step 6:Open My Computer/This PC and select the C drive.
- Step 7:Click Windows Temp and give a right-click on the Temp folder to open the Properties.
- Step 8:Click Security Advanced OK.
- Step 9:Click Add to open the Permission Entry window and then click Select a principal.
- Step 10:Enter the user account name in the required field.
- Step 11:If you are unable to find the user account name, click on the Advanced button.
- Step 12:Click Find Now followed by OK, and choose your user account name from the displayed list.
- Step 13:You can also change the owner of all subfolders, mark the "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" checkbox from the Advanced Security Settings for Software tab.
- Step 14:Click Add to open the Permission Entry window and click the Select a principal that is near the Principal field.
- Step 15:Under Basic Permissions, select the Full control checkbox and click OK.
- Step 16:Now, close all the windows and restart your PC to check the ESET error code 2503.
