Uninstall and reinstall the network adapter driver
You can try uninstalling your driver software and reinstall it back. Before uninstalling make sure, you have a backup. Now, perform these steps.
Step 1:Download the latest network adapter from the manufacturer’s website.
Step 2:If you cannot connect your computer to the Internet, you can download the driver on the other computer and save it to a USB flash drive.
Step 3:You can then use it for installing on your computer.
Step 4:For uninstalling the network adapter driver, go to the Device Manager.
Step 5:Select Network Adapter and click the network adapter’s name.
Step 6:Right-click the network adapter’s name.
Step 7:Select Uninstall.
Step 8:After uninstalling, on your computer, select the Start button, click Power, and then select Restart.
Step 9:Now, reinstall the driver from your backup.
Try a different Antivirus
Step 1:If you cannot resolve the issue, make a boot drive from one of the third-party Antivirus vendors, and see if it can remove the malware and fix the Event id 5007 windows defender issue.
