- Step 1:Open a browser and enter the official Comodo website’s URL in the address bar.
- Step 2:Select the Comodo Antivirus for Linux.
- Step 3:Choose your operating system as Ubuntu from the drop-down list. Then, select the 32bit or 64bit version and click the Download option.
- Step 4:If you have not changed the default folder for downloads, you can find the downloaded file in the Downloads folder.
- Step 5:Once the Comodo antivirus software is downloaded, go to the Downloads folder.
- Step 6:Double-click on the .deb file to open it and click the Install button.
- Step 7:Press the Control + Alt + T buttons together to launch the Terminal window.
- Step 8:Enter the following command to install the Comodo antivirus software.
- Step 9:sudo dpkg -i --force-depends linux/cav-linux_x64.deb
- Step 10:Now, change the mode to root and run the set up of the software by entering the commands given below
- Step 12:# cd /opt/COMODO/
- Step 13:# ./post_setup.sh
- Step 14:Follow the on-screen instructions in the Terminal to install the Comodo antivirus software.
- Step 15:Once the Comodo antivirus is installed, open the software from the dashboard and update the database of Comodo AV.
- Step 16:Finally, run a full system scan using the Comodo antivirus software and remove any viruses or malware present on your computer.
